E. Guigal's Blonde de Côte-Rôtie is a blend of 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier from 35-year-old vines on steep slopes, with Côte Blonde featuring silicone-limestone soil and Côte Brune rich in iron oxide. Fermented in closed stainless steel tanks with automatic punching down for three weeks, it is then aged for 36 months in oak barrels, 50% new. With a yield of 35 hl/ha and an annual production of about 280,000 bottles, it showcases a dark ruby hue, aromas of spices, red berries, and delicate oak, with a palate of raspberry, blackberry, and vanilla. Soft tannins and subtle acidity ensure excellent aging potential.
